Organizations, consortia, and communities working alongside us on digital twin engineering and model-driven approaches.

Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) Community

The MDE community encompasses researchers and practitioners working on model-driven approaches to software and systems engineering. Digital twin engineering builds heavily on MDE foundations — from metamodeling and model transformations to domain-specific languages.

Digital Twin Consortium (DTC)

The Digital Twin Consortium is a global ecosystem of users driving the awareness, adoption, interoperability, and development of digital twin technology. DTC brings together industry, government, and academia to establish best practices, publish reference architectures, and accelerate the market.

Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA)

The Industrial Digital Twin Association drives the development and adoption of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) as the standard for industrial digital twins. IDTA works closely with standardization bodies and industry partners to ensure interoperability across manufacturing and process industries.

  • Eclipse BaSyx — An open-source platform for Industry 4.0 and digital twin middleware, implementing the Asset Administration Shell.
  • Gemini Principles — A set of principles for digital twins in the built environment, developed by the Centre for Digital Built Britain.
  • ISO 23247 — The international standard for digital twin frameworks in manufacturing.
